Drink Like A Fish (Day 3)

Is it just me or is it the ketones? My work days seem to be flying by! I lose track of just how long my daily activities usually take because I'm having fun participating in them! That being said, so far everything's been great, but after yesterday's experience, I wanted to make sure I was drinking a lot more water than I had been and did I ever try.

Firstly I had to start my day super early (again) so I took a full packet of the Chocolate Swirl. When I got closer to the end of my drink, I realized that perhaps I should've shaken it up as I drank because there was a fair amount of powder sitting at the bottom. When it came to eating, I only felt like having our snack of pretzels because I like pretzels and even then I only had a couple. I wasn't hungry enough to eat as much as a handful.

Oddly enough, I don't recall being very hungry for my lunch either. I was up and about, which isn't really the point of a lunch break, but I finished the day with ease, considering I was running my whole group of kids almost completely on my own. I didn't get stressed out at all!

With that in mind, later during the day when I got home from work, I remembered not being bothered by engaging in conversation with this one person whose company I don't particularly enjoy. It's the person's job to oversee how things are running and make suggestions to make situations run more smoothly. And because I didn't have my co-worker there to help me, I got asked (a lot) how things were going and I was checked up on every so often. At any other time, this would annoy me and the person gets on my nerves more often than not, but conversing with them this week didn't bother me at all. I was able to talk to them without getting into a funk.

Like I said when I started out, making sure I was drinking enough was vital to my survival on the ketones, especially at a job where I am constantly on the go, active inside, outside, and swimming at a pool two times a day. At the beginning of the day, we were encouraged to stay hydrated and I'm so glad that was mentioned because at a certain point, I started noticing I had a headache. Whether it was from heat or dehydration I didn't know, but I ended up excusing myself to go get some water and chugged down at least 24 oz. So water, Water, WATER! It's beyond important!

Renaissance Day!

Just for fun, here's an outfit I came up with to wear for "Renaissance Day" at my job. How many of you get to dress up for your jobs? (Apart from actors/actresses and uniformed peoples that is...)

P.S. Funny side note, my group of kids went fishing today and caught so many fish. I didn't get my post title from that experience, but the coincidence is ironic.
