Flavor It (Day 4)

I never know what taking caffeine holds in store for me. I know at least one of my friends could attest to the fact that I can talk excessively fast on a Starbucks coffee. So when I had a packet of caffeinated Orange Dream, I didn't know what it would do to me. For my own safety (ha!), I only took half of the packet in the early morning hours.
And with that in mind, I think a key to drinking the right amount of ketones (at least for me) is to also have the right amount so that it tastes good. When I first tried them, I'll admit, I wasn't crazy about the flavors. They weren't bad, but it wasn't entirely appealing to my taste buds. As the week has been going by though, I'm growing accustomed to the flavors.
For example, I definitely didn't like the Max powder at first, mainly because I don't like fruit punch. But when I had the second half of the packet, which had more powder than the first time I tried it, my drink seemed a bit "stronger" in a way and tasted much better.
The amount I added had an effect on how flavorful the mixture tasted. I didn't like the Chocolate Swirl as much as I thought I would and it may've just been too much of a chocolatey taste using the full packet. But perhaps it's only something I'd need to get used to or adjust. Also, I wish I would’ve been aware that different amount of the powder are better in specific amounts of water. That’s something to pay attention to in the future.
I thought it was strange that I was feeling hungry throughout the morning. I could hear my stomach saying, "Feed me [Seymour], I'm starving!" But I made it to lunch all the same. I didn't really notice a difference in energy with taking the caffeinated packet, although that may be because I didn't take the whole thing. But certain moments throughout the day encouraged me to believe the ketones were working.
A favorite moment of my day was when I was able to quickly figure out why one of my kids wasn't participating in the sports and games. He was upset about something someone had said to him earlier in the morning and once I got him past that he got back on his feet to play. It was definitely a highlight.
Whenever I get home, I always take time to rest up again. I come home and drink up a river, but always try to relax. Thankfully there’s never been a day when I’ve come home and completely crashed on the couch, exhausted and unable to move. My stomach just tells me I need food so I eat something light then finish my intermittent fasting window with whatever my mom makes for dinner, which tonight was polenta, cucumber and tomato slices, and chicken, a very wholesome and colorful plate.
I took the rest of the Max ketones (half of a packet) for the evening to see if they might have any effect on my sleeping and I could definitely feel when they started working; My focus became heightened. To compare, last night I definitely struggled to stay awake, even until 8pm. But tonight when I eventually started winding down, it felt natural, not at all like the previous night’s nosedive.
So far I've been pretty impressed by this product. I'd recommend taking the five-day challenge for anyone who is interested. It's worth the shot.

P.S. I literally put this picture in here because this is what the Max powder looks like after I shake it up in my mason jar. If you're really missing having a "drink," just pour your Max powder mix into a martini glass and sip away!
