Pre-Fast!

Lately I've been feeling a lot less hungry than I ever have been and when I eat, I feel full really fast (Thank you ketones!), so much so that I know I'll be full and I need to stop eating to avoid a hurting stomach. My problem? I love food. I mean, who doesn't really? But because I do intermittent fasting every day, I frequently catch myself waiting for that time when my eight hours will begin so that I can eat all the food I want.
Can anyone say, "danger, danger Olivia"? On ketones I can in fact eat "whatever I want." Of course I make healthy choices as best as I can, but lately I've been unnecessarily snacking a lot. And it's not that I'm even hungry sometimes, it's just that I like (the) food, it's available and I'm within my eight-hour time frame. Did I mention I like food? The sad part is, I know exactly what I'm doing and that what I'm putting into my body is not necessary. -bleh-
So, what do I do? Fast, of course! Thankfully this awesome couple I know, Jill and Scott, have begun doing 60 hour fasts approximately once a month. I did one last month where I reached fifty out of the sixty hour mark, but being in the spot I'm at right now, I think I can push it to the goal this time around. Also, the fast couldn't have come at a better time than when I need to deny the flesh of all the food and snackage it wants.
That being said, I will be posting updates this evening through Wednesday evening to keep updates on how this fast goes and also to motivate myself to hit that sixty hour mark this time. What I'd like to do through this fast is motivate myself to be a bit more hyper-aware of what I'm eating and through that start to efficiently control my portion sizes. That is my next goal on this health journey of mine. The fast started at 8pm! Wish me luck!
