This is where I share eight of my favorite moments, experiences, quotes or anything else from the previous month. (They're not really in any particular order.)
8. Finished my summer job and it was honestly the best summer I've had yet working there!
7. I'm helping find props for Little Theatre of Norfolk's Jesus Christ Superstar! And when the need suddenly arose, I was "promoted" to Assistant Stage Manager #2!
6. Made a short film with some of the awesome kids I babysit. They helped brainstorm the storyline, characters, and even wanted to do auditions! It was my first time making a short film and I had a lot of fun collaborating with them on the whole thing.
5. I "treated" myself to Starbucks. I know, Starbucks is bad for you (shocker!), but I asked them to make me an Espresso-Banana Protein Smoothie, which doesn't exist by the way. They worked with me even though they were pretty confused and I actually got a pretty good smoothie that wasn't super sweet and sugary. For once, thank you internet!
4. I completed my first 60 hour fast (plus a couple extra hours)! And it couldn't have come at a better time that I needed to detox my system. Read the beginning of it HERE!
3. "The more anger towards the past you carry in your heart, the less capable you are of loving in the present." ~Barbara De Angelis
2. I accomplished a very big personal feat. I was and still am very excited to share it with everybody. If you haven't read my "Ke-toned" post yet, please check it out HERE!
1. My dad and I went on a little adventure and ended up at the beach, where we took a walk by the ocean. Our little detour in the afternoon made my otherwise uneventful Saturday 100 times better.
Also, we went to the Tides Baseball game Monday evening and I got to meet Kristian Nairn, Game of Thrones' one and only Hodor! I chatted with his manager a bit before meeting him, who informed me they were heading back to London that night. And Kristian himself was very nice and kindly took the time to answer my questions while signing his autograph. I was much more excited after the fact that I had the opportunity to meet him, but I'm extremely glad I got the chance to after a nearly two hour wait.
