Feeling Blue

Here's a couple blueberry smoothies to try! Smoothie tend to be a summer treat, but I use smoothies to help me continually make progress on healthier eating/living every day. Smoothies are quick, easy to blend up and, depending on your ingredients, can be very nutritious and filling. So give these two a whack!

Ingredients
1 cup blueberries
1/2 cup yogurt
3/4 cup milk
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp nutmeg
I substituted sugar in the original recipe for honey because,...why not? Honey=yum. I'd recommend doing perhaps a little less honey, milk, and yogurt. But it all tasted good! I like this one. I couldn't link this recipe to an original site because it "no longer exists," but try it anyway!


Here is the second recipe. Literally the simplest smoothie, just need a few choice ingredients.


Ingredients
> 1 cup alkaline water
> 3/4 cup organic blueberries
> 1 whole organic lemon
I added 2 tbsp of honey to help with the strong lemony taste, but it's supposed to be a nice detox-like smoothie so I think regardless of the addition of honey, zesty as it was, it turned out well! And I'd probably make both of these again!
