Ahhh, the slow cooker. The infamous, or something to that effect, device that sucks your day away, but tends to come out with the most amazing food. This attempt at Granola-Stuffed Apples was both a blessing and a curse, a failure and a success.
But the first thing I had to do was make some granola to stuff the apples and I went with this stovetop recipe!

Ingredients
> 1 cup oats
> 1 tbsp coconut oil
> 1 tbsp honey
> 1 tsp vanilla extract
> pinch of sea salt

I didn't use walnuts in my granola, but that's absolutely an option. And I didn't time whether it took 10 minutes or not like the recipe said, but I think it turned out alright. You just have to be careful not to burn it. You almost have to mix it and flip it constantly. Don't forget about it!

And now, for stuffing the apples themselves...

Ingredients
> 1/4 cup raisins
> 1/3 cup orange juice
> 2 tsp cinnamon
> 3 tbsp honey
> 3 granny smith apples

I only made two, but there was enough granola for three. I put the slow cooker on low for 4 hours instead of high for 2-3 hours. The thing with that was, they broke and fell apart. So, 3 hours on low instead of 4 would be better next time.

In this state, it still tasted good, just like granola and applesauce. So I ended up throwing it all into a mug and dubbing it "granola applesauce." But it's a good recipe if you like yummy autumn comfort food!
