As always, in no particular order, whether they be quotes, pictures, experiences, ideas, or lessons learned, here are my top most memorable moments of the month!

Moments of the Month

Phantom of the Opera canvas shoes

8. My childhood friend had a bachelorette party, at which the group of us girls were deemed honorary bridesmaids, since she didn't have a bridal party. It was pretty fun and we all painted our own canvas shoes. See mine pictured here!

7. I ran sound for an all inclusion vocal recital. There were nearly 50 students of all abilities and disabilities and it was really neat seeing them perform. It was such a beautiful night, despite being 3 hours long.

6. Went to a double graduation (high school/college) party for some family friends we haven't seen in years. It was so great connecting with them again!

5. I ASM'd for a show called "Guns & Roses: A Night of Mystery and Romance" that one of my friends directed.

4. Ran a short film camp on my own for a week with 10 kids! They made up their own video concept and then we filmed it for the rest of the week. See it below!

3. Made a "new" best friend and spent a lot of time going out to eat and getting to know him a little better throughout the rehearsal process of A Midsummer Night's Dream!

2. For the first time in 4 years, I got the opportunity to act on the stage! I performed in TCC's 23rd annual Shakespeare in the Grove; We did A Midsummer Night's Dream! We got a full run in (no rain or thunder) and it was, without a doubt, one of my favorite theatre experiences.

The Rude Mechanicals (freakshow)

1. One night during the run of Midsummer, I met a 3 year old named Esther and her Aunt asked her if she wanted a picture with "the captain", as I was a sailor/mermaid whisperer and as I knelt down, she gave me a big hug. I melted! In that moment, I felt like a Disney princess and I understood the magic of the Grove, what it is to bring theatre to young children and youth for the first time. It was so special.
