As always in no particular order,
my 8 favorite moments of the month right here!
8. Did a lot with the fam this month. We went strawberry picking, had a Cinco de Mayo party, a Luau for my 25th Birthday, and got fro-yo at the Skinny Dip!
7. I acted in a virtual performance of "The Jane Austen Book Club," a play adaptation of a book by the same name by Karen Joy Fowler. The artist actually tuned in to our live performance and told us we did a great job!
6. Went on a walk with my sisters and Mom at the Chesapeake Arboretum for Mother's Day!
5. Sarita and I went to Tennessee to help out at a summer camp; Our trip was short-lived due to the camp start date being pushed back, but it was awesome getting to meet so many awesome, new people!
4. While at camp, all the staffers celebrated my 25th Birthday by singing 'Happy Birthday' to me a total of THREE times throughout the course of the day. I also got a lot of texts and wishes on FaceBook and it was all just so overwhelming that I really felt the love. Made it absolutely one of (if not) my favorite Birthday ever.
3. I created a new YouTube channel called BViolet, meant for taking baby steps towards my (mainly) theatre-centered goals, and this month I posted a cover of "Today Was a Fairytale" by Taylor Swift. See it below!
2. I did something at camp training in Tennessee called "The Hike to the Cross" and basically you pick up a stick or rock along the way there and write something on it that you want to leave at the Cross. Knowing this, I brought a stick from home because I knew what I wanted to leave was something that started in VA, not TN. It was SO...hard. When the moment came, it took me a while to give it up and I was a hot mess after I did, but I can feel a difference and I'm so grateful I got another chance to do it.
1. Sarita and I went hiking at Mead's Quarry in Knoxville, TN! This was on My Bucket List so I was thrilled to be able to check it off and the views were not disappointing.
