July '20 Favs

As always in no particular order,

my 8 favorite moments of the month right here!

8. I started working with Rich Theatre of VB on their production of "High School Musical Jr."! We open on August 12th and honestly, I am just so excited to be doing theatre right now, especially a childhood favorite musical and with kids no less! I got to Stage Manage the first week which was SO much fun, and will end it as Lighting Designer (for the first time)!

7. I was able to share the completion of painting my tower from the Disney movie "Tangled" after going social media-free for June. See the time-lapse of it below and enjoy the music!

6. I (re)connected a lot with friends this past month, even more important to me now with everything going on in the world, including helping a theatre friend search for her lost dog, Chimichanga. We didn't find her the first day/night she escaped, but she was found the following day!

5. I was hanging out with my older sister, Gloria, and our friend and neighbor, Danny, eating ice cream and the video below happened. T'was a hilarious evening!

4. I started writing songs again; This can either be seen as good or bad (it really depends on what I write), but it's a creative outlet that I haven't used in a long time and every time I write something new, the technicality of the lyrics and meaning behind each song gets better each time.

3. Made sushi one evening with my friend Gilbert and his Mom, who was visiting from school in Wisconsin. It was SO tasty and nice catching up! Likewise with another friend who'd I'd fallen out of touch with for years; We caught up over Mexican food.

2. Taylor Swift released her 8th (my fav number) album and it definitely became my new aesthetic. One of her best albums so far and perfect for this time.

1. I started the last day of the month working as editor for the 48 Hour Film Festival! More to come on that in the future! ;)
